Bella Morgen's earliest memories are of the rich musical heritage of Vienna where she lived with her family at an early age. Her time in Europe, and her parent's creative inclinations, shaped her desire and passion for music. She remembers evenings spent following the scores of Mozart, Brahms, Schubert and Dvorak's symphonies while listening to records with her father. She and her mother frequently sang along to a wide variety of music, and made up their own songs as the mood suited them.

Although Bella always had an interest in singing, her voice was first expressed on the piano. She began playing piano at 4, and was competing in local piano competitions by age 6. Bella went on to study piano performance and music theory with teachers around the US, and entered university with the goal of becoming a concert pianist.

Bella and Xander, already friends, soon began performing together and helping each other through advanced theory courses. After repeated wrist surgeries, Bella was forced to give up her piano dreams, and redirected her passion for music from piano to vocal performance. She began singing opera and musical theater, as well as continuing her theory and composition studies.

After graduation, Bella returned to Chicago, the home of her mother's family, and took courses in improv to expand her range as an actress and performer. Although comedy was fun, Bella grew restless with improv and theater. She felt a need to be more involved in the creation of music.

In collaboration with Jace and Xander, Bella has discovered a platform for expressing her thoughts in the musical style she needs. Bella credits many influences in her writing and singing styles, including Goethe, Janis Ian, Janis Joplin, Grace Slick, Metallica, Brahms and Chopin.

Bella, delighted with the German microphone makers, uses Sennheiser microphones on stage and Neumann in the studio.
